Thurmond is a leading manufacturer and service provider in the natural gas measurement industry. Our company fosters an environment where employees can grow and develop oil and gas careers. We are currently seeking a Field Service / Gas Measurement Technician to join our well-established company in the Hennessey, OK area.
- Accurate Measurement: Manage the precise measurement of oil and gas throughout our client’s pipeline system and network.
- Support Programs: Assist and support effective measurement programs for clients, ensuring adherence and safety across all areas.
- District Management: Collaborate with the district manager to ensure timely completion of duties and jobs within API and client-approved time frames. Communicate relevant information to field personnel.
- Data Analysis: Understand, specify, and utilize software for detailed analysis of meter and measurement data.
- Effective Communication: Interact with client operational personnel, schedulers, and vendors. Handle measurement services, correct issues, and professionally conduct tasks such as invoicing clients and completing work orders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with accounting, office, and lab personnel to collect measurement data and compose gain/loss reports.
- Monthly Meetings: Actively engage and contribute to monthly business and safety review meetings for the Central Oklahoma district.
- Experience: Preferred-Minimum of 2-5 years in pipeline and/or facility measurement.
- Location: The ideal candidate will be located in the Hennessey, Enid, or Kingfisher areas.
- Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to interact with personnel at all levels within the company and at client organizations.
- Analytical Abilities: Promptly analyze measurement problems, identify root causes, and propose concrete solutions.
- Clear Writing: Ability to write clear reports for internal and client audiences.
- API Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of API measurement policies and familiarity with industry best practices.
- Teamwork: Successfully work with and lead teams, providing mentoring and on-the-job training.
- Regularly work around chemical and mechanical systems and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity. The noise level may be loud at times.
- Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to lift and move equipment and/or pipes, provide support over time without fatigue.
- Frequently operates a computer, hand and power tools, and other equipment.
- Occasionally ascends/ descends stairs and/or ladders to inspect and/or install equipment.
- Successful candidates must pass a drug screen.
- An exemplary driving record is essential for this role.
- Background checks will be conducted in accordance with local law and regulations.
